Bloompark managed the refurbishment of Taronga Zoo’s heritage-significant, 2,000m² chimpanzee exhibit, involving upgrades to the night house facility and essential services infrastructure.
The project delivered the world’s first open-paddock chimpanzee enclosure. Some of the successful outcomes of the project include incorporating innovative interactive feeding hubs, climbing structures, interactive viewing platforms, multimedia educational ports, geometrical mesh and a new perforated panel containment structure.
Bloompark were able to smoothly deliver the project with minimal disruption to the chimpanzee’s living arrangements and the Zoo’s operations.
