Bloompark was engaged by Glencore to assist the Mining Engineering Division to project manage the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of a new batch plant and slick line system.
The project aimed to achieve significant time, cost, and resource efficiencies by streamlining the batching and delivery of approximately 2,400m³ of shotcrete per month. The system delivers via a ceramic-cased pipeline 850 metres underground, directly supporting the loading of underground AGI’s.
To enable the new infrastructure, major upgrades were undertaken, including enhancements to material handling systems, Inground infrastructure, traffic management and extensive bulk storage solutions. Modifications at the underground delivery point were also required to ensure controlled supply and effective flushing of the shotcrete line – supporting operational continuity and long-term performance.
