Newcrest Telfer Mine Stage 4 Infrastructure, Western Australia

Bloompark provided project management services for the Stage 4 Infrastructure Project, a critical enabling component of the West Dome mine expansion.

Delivered during a challenging economic period for the Australian resource sector, the project required strategic planning and innovative procurement to overcome significant supply constraints within Western Australia.

The works included a new heavy-duty vehicle workshop with a 50-tonne overhead crane, drill bit sharpening facility, light vehicle workshop, oily water separators, recycled water dams, 5,000m² evaporation pond, muck-out bay upgrades, washdown bays and sumps, and the expansion of the western dome fuel farm. Potable and Recycled water augmentation, and HV/LV electrical infrastructure upgrades were also delivered, including the replacement of 3 x kiosk substations.

Due to local market constraints, an “out-of-state” procurement strategy was implemented to secure materials and resources, ensuring delivery continuity and maintaining project momentum.
