Project Synopsis

Bloompark where appointed as Project Director for St Aloysius’ College Masterplan (Plan Magis) in early 2017 to manage their Masterplan through to SSD approval. Bloompark have also been retained by St Aloysius’ College in managing recently completed multiple mini minor projects including Administration projects, Library refurbishments and Heritage upgrade works.

Plan Magis encompasses the first major development for the College and will span across three precincts. It is a series of proposed architectural designs which seek to improve St Aloysius’ College facilities and work towards a new era in the education of boys in the Jesuit tradition.

The educational drivers for the Plan Magis design will provide flexible learning environments which promote a sense of ownership and pride.  It will deliver innovative learning settings geared to technology and improve classroom conditions by an Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) strategy. The design will create better outdoor facilities that support student learning while fostering a sense of community and stewardship across the campus.

The designs ensure a contemporary and responsive approach to the historic urban surroundings in creating a strong identity for St Aloysius’ College Upper Pitt Street Campus which is both elegant and timeless.  It will eliminate segregated silos of the campuses by opening up and activating areas.  This will encourage flow of movement between indoor and outdoor zones, fostering collaboration and peer collegiality by providing a range of interconnected learning and social environments.
